Where StudentDismiss wins
You know the price before you talk to anyone.
StudentDismiss is a flat $399 per school year, published right on the site – one price for your whole school, no matter your enrollment. PickUp Patrol keeps its pricing private and bases your cost on enrollment, so you won’t know your number until you contact them for a quote. A flat, public price means no negotiation and no surprises at renewal.
No parent app to roll out.
PickUp Patrol’s model runs on parents using its app to submit plan changes – which means onboarding every family, and counting on them to keep it current. StudentDismiss has no parent app at all. Dismissal runs from your staff’s devices, so there’s nothing to push out to families, nothing for them to download, and nothing new for them to learn. If you want a parent-facing option for office pickups, staff can run a tablet-based self-dismissal kiosk where a caregiver types a PIN, with staff still monitoring.
Built for one school, not an integration project.
PickUp Patrol’s SIS integrations, district tools, and feature depth are built for bigger or multi-system rollouts. For a single school, much of that is setup you don’t need. StudentDismiss skips it – you set up a roster directly and you’re running in days, with the same routine you already have, minus the walkie-talkies. If deep SIS integration is essential for your school, PickUp Patrol may genuinely fit better – and we’d tell you so.
